FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Even with the Affordable Care Act, about 31 million Americans don’t have adequate health insurance.
That’s according to a new Commonwealth Fund survey, which says 23 percent of those between the ages of 19 and 64, have extremely high out-of-pocket expenses.
About 44 percent of the underinsured are believed to be ignoring medically necessary treatments, due to the larges costs.
