Procter And Gamble Settle ‘Slack Fill’ Case

FRESNO (KMJ) — Procter and Gamble have agreed to settle a case with district attorneys in Shasta, Riverside, and Fresno counties over slack fill.

The practice, which is against California law, involves making a product look larger than it really is.

The investigation focused on Procter and Gamble’s health and beauty product line which includes items such as Olay, Old spice, Pantene and Cover Girl.

The company have agreed to change their packaging to comply with the law and agreed to pay $850,000 dollars in civil penalties and costs.
