FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The Golden State may not be so great in your “golden years.”

According to a new study by GOBankingRates, California is among the worst states in the nation for wealthy retirees.

It’s based on factors that impact older American’s finances the most: the cost of living, health care, and taxes.

California ranks fifth among the worst states in which to retire, with high tax rates, and expensive housing.

States deemed more friendly to retirees: New Hampshire, Delaware, Idaho, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
