FRESNO (KMJ) – Many Valley youth will participating in See You at the Pole on Wednesday, September 28th.
See You at the Pole is an annual event organized and led by students on the fourth Wednesday in September.
It’s traditionally held at a school’s flagpole before school starts.
“It’s a student led prayer time where they will meet on their campuses in the morning to pray for their schools, their government, and the world.” – Meagan Bergem.
See You at the Pole began back in Texas in 1990, with 10 students praying at their school.
“It is a valley wide event not just our church as a way to unify the body of Christ throughout the Valley.” -Meagan Bergem, Director of the Junior High Ministry, First Presbyterian Church.
Here in Fresno, Meagan Bergem, the Director of the Junior High Ministry, First Presbyterian Church, says this is the National Prayer for Youth Week.
“The youth are the next generation and so it’s important for us to remember to be praying for them and also their parents and people that have influence on their lives because if we want to see change in the world – it really has to do with the youth being changed.” – -Meagan Bergem, Director of the Junior High Ministry, First Presbyterian Church.
