FRESNO (KMJ) – Fresno’s revitalization of the Blackstone Corridor is getting a boost with the unveiling of plans for “The New Manchester Center”.
Singers from Roosevelt High School kicked off the party as Omninet Capital Managing Partner Ben Nazarian revealed a new look and logo in partnership with the city at no cost to the taxpayers.
“We think that the south part of Fresno has been underserved. Manchester’s a very strategic location in the center of Fresno with very limited options yet many residents who live around here and want a good dining, retail or entertainment option and we are going to be providing that.
Nazarian says the new Marketplace will appeal to more than a million annual moviegoers.
Over 50 years old, the reworked Manchester Mall will have a new entrance, and an outdoor plaza for events going in next to the Regal theatres.
Construction will be finished in phases.
“The Pad will open in spring of 2017 with Chipotle and Habit Burger, the Marketplace and the Event Plaza will be in the summer of 2017.” – Bern Nazarian, Managing Partner, Omninet Capital.
