FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Covered California’s boosting premiums on heath insurance policies for small business employees, by an average of 5.9 percent next year.
That’s smaller than last year’s increase of 7.2 percent, and will affect about 28,000 people who are employed by companies with up to 100 workers.
The individual market, which covers about 1.4 million Californians, will see a 13.2 percent increase in premiums next year.
