Sierra Pacific High School Principal Dies

The principal of Sierra Pacific High School in Hanford was found dead in his car on Monday, according to the Kings County Sheriff’s Department.

The Kings County Sheriff’s Office says that Hanford Police conducted a welfare check for Gregory Henry on Monday after they were told he couldn’t be found and was “distraught”.  After checking his home and finding that Henry and his gun was missing, they traced his cellphone to his car north of Hanford.  According to the King’s County Sheriff’s Department log, his body was discovered just after 3pm on Monday afternoon.

Kings County Sheriff’s Office tells that it appears Henry died of a single self-inflicted gunshot wound.  An autopsy will be performed.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Henry became principal at Sierra Pacific in June 2015 after serving as a vice principal.  He also was the principal at Pioneer Elementary for more than a decade.
