Fresno, CA (KMJ) A Hanford girl is hospitalized and her friend is jailed on DUI charges after a crash early Thursday morning.
Officers say the 17 year old girl was found lying in the street on Holt Ave and Lombard Street around 12:30am. The unidentified female was bleeding and suffering from numerous injuries after being ejected from a speeding truck.
HPD says 19 year old Princesita Garcia was driving under the influence when she took a turn at a high rate of speed, sending the younger girl out of the vehicle. Investigators say the victim, who was also intoxicated, had been leaning out of the window and singing.
Garcia was arrested and booked into the Kings County Jail
