FRESNO (KMJ) – Fresno Police are looking for a former Clovis West High School student after thousand dollars of music equipment was stolen from the school.
A Northeast patrol officer was dispatched to Clovis North High School at 2770 E. International Avenue on August 11th.
Lt Joe Gomez says 32 years old Theodore Margosian and another white male were spotted inside the music building trying to grab snare drums, bongos and cymbals.
A teacher confronted Margosian, whom he recognized as a former student at a different school.
Police say Margosian was holding snare drums and bongos, valued at $1500, and handed them over to the teacher, claiming he didn’t know the other suspect when questioned.
The other suspect had Zildjian cymbals valued at close to $5000, and kept walking southbound through the campus toward International Avenue.
The teacher went to get his cell phone from his office – when he returned Margosian was gone.
Margosian is currently wanted for burglary regarding this case, and a prior felony no bail warrant for possession of cocaine and DUI.
Police say the two men may have been involved in a similar crime at Clovis West High School, earlier in the week.
Police are asking anyone who knows Margosian’s whereabouts to call 621-7000.
