FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – At at least two movie theaters in the Central Valley have applied with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control for licenses to begin serving alcohol.
The owners of the Sierra Vista Cinemas in Clovis have applied for a beer and wine license, while the owners of the Regal Manchester Stadium in Fresno have applied for a general alcohol license.
The Santa Rosa Entertainment Group – which owns the Clovis movie theater – says they’re hoping to roll out beer and wine in the next 6 months, should the approval process goes smoothly. Santa Rosa Entertainment Group Vice President of Operations Neil Pearlmutter says they’re hoping the sale of beer and wine is just another amenity they can serve to their patrons.
Pearlmutter says they’re still going over the menu for their beer and wine selection, should the license be approved.
