Serpa Fire Mandatory Evacuations Lifted

MADERA SHERIFF MADERA COUNTY (KMJ) – The Madera County Sheriff’s Office says all evacuation orders for the Serpa Fire‬ have been lifted.

Many streets near the fire remain closed to the public and are restricted to residents only. Residents must show identification at check points.

The following streets are restricted to residents only:
Cavin Lane
Holly Lane
Mattie Fhy Road
Mattie Fhy Court
Vinnard Drive
Shadow Creek Road
Quail Mountain Way
Deer Path Circle
Paulsen Lane
Snyder Road

The Serpa Fire is 30% contained, and has burned 80 acres north of Coarsegold.

Residents along road 420 near Thornberry were allowed to go home last night, but the road may be back open to the public by noon on Friday (7/22)

The evacuation shelter at the Yosemite Lakes Park Church will be closing its doors at noon on Friday (7/22). If you have an animal there, you must pick up your pet by noon on Friday (7/22).
