FRESNO (KMJ) – More notices are going out to homeowners as the City of Fresno conducts a survey over the dirty water problem.
Ronda Rafidi is one homeowner on the Northeast side of the city who’s been observing brown water streaming from her faucet.
“We would like a fair resolution to this instead of just asking residents to take a loan from the city” – Ronda Rafidi, Northeast Fresno Resident.
The City of Fresno says the water flowing out through its distribution system is safe, and the fault lies within the homeowners pipes or faucets which are corroding and leaching lead.
As the City of Fresno expands its survey, more than 45,000 notices have gone out with the 93650, 93710, 93711 and 93722 zip codes being added to the notification list.
