FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — A bill that would provide more financial incentives for low-income Californians to ditch their older vehicle for a newer, cleaner car is closer to becoming law.
Its author, Democratic Assemblyman Jim Cooper, says the goal is to get old clunkers off the roads, meaning more reliable transportation and cleaner air.
The legislation has cleared the Appropriations Committee, and now heads to the Assembly.
