Trump Rally Draws Loud Protest, FPD Maintains Control

TRUMP OUTSIDE

FRESNO (KMJ) – Thousands came to Fresno’s Selland Arena on Friday to see Donald Trump at his Central Valley rally.

Trump was met with cheers by a crowd that included members of the ag industry who were anticipating him talk about water.  He did not disappoint.  The GOP presidential nominee met with the ag leaders prior to his speech.  In his address, Trump promised to make water available to valley farmers again and that “You don’t even have to think about it”.

Others said they are supporting Trump because they want a fresh voice, they like his honesty, and his “non-politician” way of speaking.

A handful of protesters with banners were in the top part of the Arena – and started shouting and disrupting the rally inside, while afterwards a mass of protestors gathered outside on “M” Street and Ventura.

As a helicopter circled, around two to three dozen Fresno Sheriff’s deputies came out, and boltsered support to the Fresno Police in riot gear that were lined up.

The Police started telling people to move away from the arena.

Only a couple of people were taken away, and only a few scuffles marked Fresno’s event.
