FRESNO (KMJ) – Hundreds gathered on the Fresno State campus to hear Former President Bill Clinton address his wife’s supporters at the Satellite Student Union.

We had team coverage at the event, starting with KMJ’S Dominic McAndrew:

The man himself was introduced by newly elected Valley Assemblyman Joaquin Arambula, who took the moment infront of the packed crowd to back Hillary Clinton’s bid for the White House.

“I am here today to announce my support for someone who is willing to serve our country, and go to our nation’s capitol, and serve our voice up there.

“I am here today to endorse Hillary Rodham Clinton, and I am so proud to do that”.

CLINTON RALLY PEOPLE

With the people’s reaction to President Bill Clinton’s speech from KMJ’s Liz Kern:

The reaction to Bill Clinton’s speech was mostly positive.

“I thought it was a really good speech, one of the ways in which he is trying to get maybe some people on the fence is to emphasize the fact that she does have a track record of working with Republicans, I think for a lot of people that will be really important because they’ll want to elect someone who can work with a Republican dominated Congress”.

There were also a handful of protestors, some Bernie Sanders supporters holding signage, and at least one man who called himself a Libertarian but was now supporting Donald trump.

“To maybe inform people about Benghazi, accepting money from the Saudi’s and sexual cover-ups by Bill Clinton”.

While there were many women at the rally, not all were behind the Clinton campaign.

“I’m a feminist. Hillary is not the right woman, I’m not going to overlook her history her voting record. Everything is documented it’s not like we’re making this stuff up”, said another protestor.

“We want to make sure people understand that if you vote for Hillary in the primary more than likely you are screwing over everybody in the general election, Hillary is not going to beat Donald Trump”.
