(KMJ) Hanford Police say a man is facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon after he struck his brother in the face with a beer bottle.
The fight broke out around 9pm Thursday along Scott Street. Investigators say Baudelio Perez told them his brother, Manuel Maciel, had been causing a disturbance and he admitted to striking him.
Maciel was bleeding profusely when he was found lying in the street. He was hospitalized and then became combative with nursing staff. They say he also spit blood on an officer who responded to the incident.
Maciel was then arrested for battery on a peace officer.
Police say alcohol played a role in both arrests.
