FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Supporters of a ballot initiative to legalize recreational marijuana in the Golden State, say they’ve collected enough signatures for the measure to qualify for the November ballot.

The coalition, which includes former Facebook President Sean Parker and Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom, says it’s collected 600,000 signatures; only 365,000 were needed by next month.

The Adult Use of Marijuana Act would allow possession of 1 ounce of pot and six plants, for those 21 and older.

In addition, retail pot sales would be taxed at 15 percent.
