FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — New housing units in the Golden State declined in 2015, for the first time since the start of the economy recovery.
It was due largely to wildfires, which scorched more than 2,000 homes.
According to the Department of Finance, California’s housing supply rose by 67,110 units last year.
Had it not been for the fires, the figure would have been similar to that of 2014.
Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Jose saw the most housing growth.
