MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KMJ/KFSN) — A fire that broke out in Madera County on Monday has now been fully contained.
The fire has burned through about 40 acres of grass near Raymond Road and Avenue 16.
The Madera County Sheriff’s Office issued an evacuation warning due to the flames, which has since been lifted.
Highway 145 was shut down between Story Road and Road 29 due to the flames, but all lanes have since reopened.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
