Stabbing Suspect Rams VPD Patrol Car

VISALIA, CA (KMJ) A Visalia Police officer was flagged down near Bridge and Main late Tuesday night by a woman claiming she had been stabbed while her vehicle was stolen.

Moments later VPD says officers located the stolen car and attempted to make a traffic stop. But the driver refused to pull over.

As the vehicle reached Noble and Burke, it rammed into a squad car and sped away. But they didn’t get far. The car eventually became disabled and stopped near Ben Maddox and Mineral King.

Four suspects then fled from the car. A VPD K-9 was deployed and 3 of the four suspects were caught.

The outstanding suspect has not been identified.
