Man Arrested Following Standoff With Police In Clovis

CLOVIS, Calif. (KMJ/KFSN) — A man is facing several charges following a standoff with police at a Clovis gas station.

Officers were called out just before 9 am Monday to a home on Ashlan and Fowler.

Police say the suspect got into an argument with a woman at the house before pulling out a knife and making demands.

Following the incident, the suspect, now identified as 30-year-old Daniel Hotte, drove off with friends in a van that was later tracked down at a nearby gas station.

A standoff ensued, in which Hotte eventually surrendered.

He’s facing several charges, including assault with a deadly weapon and others related to domestic violence.

The woman in the incident was unharmed.
