Fresno Police Arrest 44-Year-Old Man in the City’s 2nd Homicide

(KMJ) – Fresno Police arrested 44-year-old Alfred Samuels for the murder of Taeshawn Johnson.

On Wednesday, January 17, 2024, just after 1:00 p.m., Southwest officers were dispatched to Lee Street and Lorena Avenue for a Shot Spotter activation.

Officers located 24-year-old Taeshawn Johnson suffering from a gunshot wound.

Johnson was transported to CRMC Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased by doctors.

Through their investigation, homicide investigators identified Alfred Samuels as the person responsible for fatally shooting Johnson.

Investigators served a search warrant at Samuel’s residence, where evidence related to the crime was recovered.
