PORTERVILLE, Just after 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, TCSO Deputies were called to a shooting in a vineyard near Avenue 152 and Road 200, just west of Porterville, where field workers were harvesting grapes.
When they arrived, Deputies learned a man in a gray Honda drove up and began firing toward an empty canal, about 100 yards away from the field workers.
One of the workers, A 45-year-old woman, was shot in the hand and sustained minor injuries.
She was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
TCSO Detectives are investigating.
The suspect is described as a man in his mid 20s, driving a gray Honda.
