Visalia Man Arrested For Attempted Homicide After Shootings in Grover Beach, San Luis Obispo

(KMJ) – Police arrest a man from Visalia for two shootings on Thursday in Grover Beach and San Luis Obispo.

Grover Beach police say a shooting took place around 1:00 p.m. at the 7-11 at 4th Street and Grand Ave.

The suspect took off in a black Ford Mustang.

Around 3:30 San Luis Obispo, police got reports that a man shot at a vehicle in the 1500 block of Froom Ranch Way.

A passenger was struck and went to the hospital.

Around 4:20 p.m., the Mustang was spotted in the 1900 block of San Luis Ranch Road.

Multiple agencies – the SLO Sheriff’s Office, California State Parks, California Fish and Wildlife and California Highway Patrol – all responded and after a brief search, 41-year-old Joshua Arnold was arrested.

Police found a gun inside a nearby model home where Arnold had entered before he was captured.

Arnold was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on charges for attempted homicide, attempted carjacking, felon in possession of a handgun, and felon in possession of ammunition.
