City of Fresno Awarded More Than $2 Million Dollars For Housing

FRESNO, CA – Mayor Jerry Dyer is happy to announce that the City of Fresno has been approved for more than $2 million in funding under the Prohousing Incentive Pilot (PIP) Program.

The commitment, announced by the California Department of Housing and Community Development, will provide the City of Fresno with $2,064,891.45 to be put towards housing production and preservation.

The award was made possible after the City of Fresno was given a Prohousing Designation by the Governor’s Office in April. The Prohousing Designation helps the City of Fresno become eligible for funding incentives and additional resources through state grant programs as the City works to meet its housing needs.

“This funding is a direct result of the City of Fresno’s Prohousing Designation – which is a testament to the work being done to bring more housing to our city,” said Mayor Dyer.
