FRESNO, CA (KMJ) — A heat wave is hitting California, and the National Weather Service in Hanford expects temperatures to be at, or above, 105 degrees in Fresno today, Sept. 1, 2022. As a result, many cities are opening cooling centers.

If you believe that you have a medical emergency related to the heat, call 9-1-1 immediately. Also, please remember your animals and pets: they can overheat as well, and suffer from heat stress.

FRESNO COOLING CENTERS

Cooling centers will be open from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the following locations:
• Ted C. Wills Community Center, 770 N. San Pablo
• Frank H. Ball Neighborhood Center, 760 Mayor
• Mosqueda Community Center, 4670 E. Butler
