(KMJ) – The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office believes there may be more victims of a Del Rey minister arrested for committing lewd acts on a child under the age of 14.
Here are the details, as released by the Sheriff’s Office:
On July 28th, detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office Sex Crimes Unit arrested 64 year old Bernardino Villalobos of Del Rey.
Detectives began their investigation after receiving information Villalobos had sexually abused a child in 2017. It was discovered Villalobos owns a church and serves as the minister there. It is called La Obra De Jesus Christian Church, which is located at 5433 South Academy Avenue in Del Rey.
He has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on a charge of committing lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 years old. His bail is set at
$40,000. Villalobos is also a registered sex offender who has served time in prison for convictions of rape and sodomy.
