CDFA Seeks Farm Bill Input

According to an announcement, the California Department of Food and Agriculture is holding several public forums to let farmers, ranchers and other stakeholders voice their priorities for the 2023 Farm Bill.

The Farm Bill provides federal funding nationwide to support a variety of food and agricultural programs.

Those programs include crop insurance, conservation, nutrition and trade.

In addition, the Farm Bill ensures a farm safety net, promotes farming and ranching practices that are environmentally sound, and provides important nutritional funding for Americans.

California Farm Bill Listening Sessions will be live and or virtual up and down the state. A live only session is scheduled for August 23rd at the Fresno County Farm Bureau office located on 1274 West Hedges Avenue starting at 12-noon.
