Man Wanted For Robbery At 7-eleven In Merced

MERCED, Calif. (KMJ) — The Merced Police Department is looking for a man that they say robbed a 7-Eleven convenience store in Merced. 

Police responded to a robbery Friday morning around 4:30 a.m. at the 7-Eleven on Carmel Road and East Gerard Road in Merced. 

When they arrived, the clerk told them that a man had walked into the store and immediately told him to empty the register and give him the money. 

The clerk told police that he did what the suspect said and handed over $180 that was in the register, and the suspect ran away with the money. 

The suspect was wearing a hooded sweater with a Raiders logo on it and a brown hat. 

He was described as a Hispanic man in his 30’s, having brown hair and brown eyes, and is around 140 lbs and 5’8” tall. 

Police were able to capture a photo of the suspect using security camera footage.
