SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KMJ) — California Lottery officials said someone hit all the winning numbers on a Powerball ticket in Sacramento on November 27, 2021. As of Tuesday, May 24, 2022 the ticket had not been claimed. Officials said if no one claimed the winning ticket by Thursday, May 26, 2022, the ticket would expire, and the $1.6 million prize money will go to public schools in California instead.
Lottery officials said the six winning numbers for Nov. 27, 2021 were 8-32-55-64-66. The winner missed the red Powerball number, which was 10. The ticket was bought at Lichine’s Liquor & Deli on S. Land Park Dr. in Sacramento.
Powerball winners who match five numbers (not including the Powerball number) have 180 days from the draw date to claim the prize. In instances in which the prize isn’t claimed, the California Lottery donates the winnings to California schools. Lottery officials said more than $1 billion has been donated to schools since the lottery began operating in California in 1985.
If you think you score a winning ticket, you are advised to complete a California Lottery claim form, which are available online and at all nine Lottery District offices. Winning ticket claims can also be mailed to:
