(KMJ) — The Fresno County DA’s Office has filed 24 charges against two men who they say are responsible for a series of retail burglaries in Fresno.

Officials say both 21-year-old Schirell Cummings and Reginald Taylor have been carrying out these crimes from Dec. 2021 through May 2022.

One of their last burglaries was at a CVS on May 11, where video surveillance captured the two, and Fresno Police was able to identify both Cummings and Taylor.

The two were arrested on May 13, and booked into the Fresno County Jail.

Cummings faces 18 felony charges of robbery, burglary, conspiracy to receive stolen property, and grand theft. Taylor is facing six felony charges of robbery, burglary, and grand theft.

The DA’s office says that over 17 businesses were hit, totaling more than $35,000 in losses.

Both are set to appear before the Fresno Superior Court on Wednesday. If convicted Cummings faces up to nearly 19 years in prison and Taylor could send over 6 years in state prison.
