(KMJ) — The Chaffee Zoo announced on Monday that two baby colobus have made their debut.
Lyn Myers, General Curator with the Fresno Chaffee Zoo says the Zoo is very excited to add two new members to our colobus troop, and cannot wait to see these babies grow and develop with the help of their family.
When born, these babies come into the world fully cared for by females within the troop. There bodies are covered in white fur until they’re about three months old and typically latch onto their mother’s fur as a safety measure.
Those who visit the Fresno Chaffee Zoo will be able to take a peek at the newborn colobus babies through spring and summer.
