(KMJ) – A Lindsay resident sought for a deadly shooting in the South Valley is tracked down and taken into custody.

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office says an April 19th shooting on the 24000 block of Avenue 188 near road 240 in Strathmore left a woman injured and 34-year-old Pedro Antonio Lopez dead.

Deputies identified 29-year-old John Maduena as the suspect, but say he fled the Valley following this deadly shooting.

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, with help from the U.S. Marshal’s Office, tracked him down at a motel in the city of Ontario. There he was arrested without incident and taken into custody.
