
(KMJ) – A traffic stop in the city of Madera lands two alleged catalytic converter thieves behind bars.
According to the Department’s Facebook page:
Officer Camp made a traffic stop early Sunday morning and contacted Cesar Torres and Alberto Garcia. These two just happened to have everything a successful catalytic converter thief needs.
Officer Camp continued his investigation and located additional evidence of catalytic converter theft. (see picture below).
Catalytic converter thieves stand to get anywhere from $50 – $200 for a stolen CAT while the victim is left with a $1,000 – $2,000 bill for the replacement.
