(KMJ) — California Highway Patrol K9 Beny makes another bust in Merced.
CHP says they pulled over a 2022 Chevrolet Malibu that was following another vehicle too closely. During the stop, the officer noticed the driver was not acting normal and called for backed up.
That is when CHP K9 Officer Beny arrived on the scene and quickly alerted to the presence of something illegal.
A further search of the vehicle uncovered $129,600 hidden in several pairs of jeans.
CHP adds the large amount of cash Beny sniffed out is believed to be from a recent drug sale.
