
(KMJ) – Family and community members have raised thousands of dollars in reward money for tips leading to an arrest in a November 2020 murder in Fresno.
Here are the details, as released by the Fresno Police Department:
November 25, 2020, just after 9:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of East Fedora Avenue regarding a Shot Spotter alert of four gunshots fired. When officers arrived, they found a vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot that collided with a carport support beam.
Inside the car, they found 23-year-old Jovanni Boyd in the driver’s seat, suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body. Boyd was transported to CRMC and died there from his injuries.
Boyd’s family, along with help from the community, have reached their goal of raising $5,000.00 for information leading to the identification of the suspects involved in this homicide. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the shooting to please contact the Fresno Police Department.
