Reward Increased to Help Solve Murder of Parlier Teen

(KMJ) – Valley Crime Stoppers is now offering a reward of $5,000 and the City of Parlier is offering a $4,000 reward, for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for killing 16-year-old Ricardo Chavana.

Around 11 p.m. Sunday, February 20th, Parlier Police responded to a shots fired on the 13000 block of East Bulah Avenue. Officers arrived at a home and discovered a teenage boy had been shot multiple times while inside the house. That teen, Ricardo Chavana, was transported to Selma Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Fresno County Sheriff’s homicide detectives responded to the scene and launched an investigation. Preliminary information shows shots were fired from outside the house and bullets traveled into the house. Chavana has been determined to be an innocent victim.
