FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer debuted the new Office of Community Affairs (OCA) and introduced three new liaisons to the community at Fresno City Hall.
In a press conference on Tuesday, Fresno’s mayor said the newly selected liaisons will identify and address community-wide issues affecting the city’s diverse communities.
In a press release, Mayor Dyer’s Office said the OCA offers services and resources for Fresno residents and helps connect constituents to other resources available to them.
The City government liaisons will serve key constituent groups, multicultural and immigrant populations, faith-based, civic and human service, and others including community benefit organizations.
The mayor said the goal of the OCA is to assist in the practical delivery of the ‘One Fresno Mission’ by fostering unity and equity across the City of Fresno.
