Fresno Police Arrest Double Homicide Suspect

FRESNO, CA (KMJ)  Matthew Pless was already behind bars in Fresno County Jail after a recent arrest when he was charged Monday with two murders and attempted murder.

Homicide detectives say the 23 year old suspect shot two victims to death and wounded a third at a birthday party on January 31, 2021.

The Southeast Policing District were dispatched to the 4600 block of East Lane Avenue regarding a ShotSpotter activation of three rounds fired around 1 a.m.

Officers arrived and found the first victim, 31-year-old Felicia Becerra, inside the residence near the front door. Despite lifesaving efforts from officers and EMS, Becerra was pronounced deceased on scene. The second victim, 29-year-old Oudara Chounramany, was also found inside the home. He was suffering from at least two gunshot wounds to his back and was transported to CRMC but did not survive.

A third victim, a 26-year-old man, survived a gunshot wound to his right arm.

Investigators later determined that all victims were attending a birthday party for Becerra.
