(KMJ) – A donation from the friend of the man assaulted on a FAX bus adds to the reward for tips leading to the arrest of his attacker.
Central Valley Crime stoppers released this following information Wednesday:
On April 6, 2021, 38-year-old suspect Andrew Garcia assaulted the dependent adult victim on FAX bus #1720 at 2240 hours near Ventura and First. A Fresno citizen who has befriended the victim, Nicholas Gilbreth, has donated $2,000 for a Valley Crime Stoppers tip that leads to the arrest. Valley Crime Stoppers reward is $1000. The total reward is now $3000 toward an anonymous tip that leads to the arrest of Andrew Garcia.
FAX video shows the suspect strike the victim in the face with his right fist without provocation resulting in a bruise under his left eye, a cut to the left of his left eye and broken prescription eyeglasses. The suspect exited the bus running north bound First St. The severity of the blow could have sustained a fracture to the orbital structure of the victim’s eye or the eye glass lens could have cut or worse blind the victim’s left eye.
The suspect Andrew Garcia, is described as a 36-year-old Hispanic male, 5’6” tall, 200 lbs with long wavy dark brown hair parted in the middle, mustache, and beard. He was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt with a yellow mountain logo picture on the front, black Nike shorts, black Nike shoes with a white bottom and wearing a black sleeve on his left arm covering a tattoo of naked women. Tattoos: dog collar with spikes around his neck, “Ashley” on left side of neck, and naked women on left arm.
