(KMJ) – In 2012, Fresno County Deputy Coroner Kelly Matlock helped establish a national burial program here in the Central Valley. Two times a year, Garden of Innocence holds ceremonies to ensure children found abandoned or left unidentified are given a loving goodbye.
Saturday, May 22nd at 10:00 am, Garden of Innocence – Fresno County will hold a burial service for nine babies: Tori Lynn, Bethany, Rosemary, Theresa, Bernadette, Harley, Reggie, Enrique and Joseph. It takes place at Mountain View Cemetery, located at 1411 West Belmont Avenue in Fresno.
Organizers are in need of blankets and Beanie Babies (small stuffed animals) for the burial. And you can donate them by bringing them to the ceremony or by dropping them off at the cemetery office ahead of time.
