MALIBU, Calif. (AP) – Three people have died after they were swept off the rocks into the ocean at a Malibu-area shore.
Ventura County officials say two men and a woman were fishing with five other family members along the Pacific Coast Highway when they were washed away Thursday afternoon near Deer Creek Beach.
They were pulled from the water but pronounced dead at the scene.
The area is near Pt. Mugu State Park and a few miles northwest of Malibu.
