FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ News) — Richard Atkins wrote on his personal Facebook page over the weekend, “If you don’t love the country you live in, then go back to the country you or your ancestors came from. I’m sick of this [expletive].”
Atkins now claims that he’s “truly sorry” for his “insensitive comments.”
More than a thousand people have signed a petition calling on atkins to resign.
Central Unified has issued a statement saying Atkins remarks do not represent their views.
