(KMJ) – Fresno County Sheriff’s Detectives have rearrested 30 year old Salinas man after an earlier arrest for kidnapping and attempted rape.
Fabian Ornelas was initially arrested on June 13th in Fresno after meeting a woman on Tinder. She claims he tried to sexually assault when the two met in person. He was released the next day after posting over $240,000 in bail.
After his release additional victims came forward with similar allegations against Ornelas. That prompted a new warrant issued for his arrest and he was taken back into custody Thursday. His original bail was revoked and he is now being held in the Fresno County Jail with a $740,000 bail.
The Sheriff’s Office adds Tinder has been cooperative with investigators and removed Ornelas’ profile immediately.
