Fresno’s 144th Fighter Wing Plans State Flyover Salute

(KMJ) –  The 144th Air National Guard Fighter Wing in Fresno announces its jets will make a flyover across the Golden State to salute health care workers and first responders.

Here are the details shared in a news release put out Monday by the 144th:

Four F-15C Eagle fighter jets will perform a flyover throughout California, beginning at 10 a.m., May 13th.

The pilots will fly in salute to health care workers, first responders, and everyone on the front lines in the fight against COVID-19. The flyover is scheduled to take off from Fresno Air National Guard Base, and pass over medical facilities in the San Joaquin Valley, Sacramento, Bay Area, and Southern California, covering the towns of Reedley, Selma, Madera, Sacramento, Merced, Richmond, Oakland, San Jose, Monterey, Los Angeles, and Clovis before returning to Fresno.

The four F-15s are part of the nationwide salute by the U.S. Air Force for health care workers and those on the front line. The pilots plan to do a low pass at several locations including the Capitol, California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, and California Highway Patrol Academy.
