(KMJ) – Investigators bust a South Valley couple for allegedly using stolen identities to buy numerous vehicles.

On May 6th, a victim called Hanford Police and told investigators someone used their stolen identity to buy a vehicle at a city auto dealership.   That lead detectives and members of crime teams from Kings and Tulare Counties to a home on the 100 block of 5 1/2 Avenue in Corcoran May 7th.

There investigators found 10 vehicles (see photo below) all purchased with fraudulent documents as well as a large-scale marijuana grow.  While investigators were searching the property, police in Exeter located 50-year old Gloria Hernandez as she was trying to buy another vehicle at a dealership in that city.  And, law enforcement located her husband, 43-year old Jose Rolando Hernandez, who was reportedly driving another fraudulently purchased vehicle.

Both were arrested and charged with possession of stolen vehicles, grand theft during a state of emergency, and identity theft.  Their bail was set at $1,000,000.
