Father of 5 Found Dead in Car in Central Fresno, Homicide Investigation Underway

 

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A homicide investigation is underway after a Fresno father is found dead in his car.

Neighbors alerted police to the body of a man in a car parked near Belmont and Blackstone.

It was around 9:30 Thursday morning, when police discovered the body of 36-year-old Richard Molina Jr. inside the vehicle parked in an alley at Diana and White by the railroad tracks.

Police say Molina had gunshot wounds in his upper body.

Homicide detectives believe that he was shot early in the morning on May 7, 2020.

Molina is the father of five children.

Detectives ask anyone with information to please contact the Fresno Police Department.

Fresno Police says this is the 11th murder this year, compared to 16 murders at this time in 2019.
