FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – As of Wednesday, health officials announced California had confirmed 17,571 COVID-19 cases 438 deaths, and 314 people had recovered.
FRESNO COUNTY: Health officials reported 10 new cases Wednesday, for a total of156 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Fresno County.
Three people died, the latest was an elderly female.
The Fresno County Department of Public Health says that 36 of those cases are travel related.
There have been six reported recoveries in the county.

TULARE COUNTY: Tulare County Health officials confirmed Wednesday that two more people over the age of 65 died from COVID-19 in Tulare County, bringing the total number of deaths to 9.
The County of Tulare Public Health Branch says that both new deaths were related to a cluster of cases at Visalia’s Redwood Springs Healthcare Center.
Three residents have now died at the home.
As of Tuesday, the nursing home reports that 47 residents and staff members have tested positive for the virus.
“We offer our sincere condolences to the friends and families who lost their loved ones due to COVID-19,” said Dr. Karen Haught, Tulare County Public Health Officer.
MADERA COUNTY: No new cases were reported on Wednesday.
The County currently has 30 total confirmed cases and two deaths.
KERN COUNTY: There are 303 positive COVID-19 cases among Kern residents, not including the 6 non-residents who tested positive.

MERCED COUNTY: Two new deaths and 6 new cases were confirmed Wednesday by the Department of Public Health.
County public health officials said a man and a woman, both over the age of 65, died bringing the total number of dead to three.
Merced County now has 40 positive COVID-19 cases.
MARIPOSA COUNTY: 65 people have been tested but there are still zero positive cases, 4 tests are still pending.
