FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Clovis City Council candidate Herman Nagra was arrested Thursday, after allegedly stealing campaign signs for incumbent Vong Mouanoutoua.
Police say surveillance video captured a pickup truck registered to a relative of Nagra and two suspects, one of whom turned out to be Nagra himself.
A search warrant was served at Nagra’s home, during which police found stolen campaign signs for Mouanoutoua, as well as candidate Diane Pearce.
Nagra is now charged with felony grand theft, after admitting to investigators that he removed the stolen signs.
