Kern County Health Dept. Monitoring 11 people for Possible Coronavirus

 

BAKERSFIELD, CA (KMJ) -11 people are being monitored for the coronavirus in Kern County.

The Kern County Public Health Department said the move came after they were contacted by the CDC.

11 people from Kern County traveled near China in the last 14 days.

The Centers for Dieases Control and Prevention said they are asking Kern County to assess the group just as a precaution.

Public health says this is purely “precautionary” and “demonstrates how careful they are being.”

So, far, none of the people are showing any symptoms, and have not met the protocol to be treated for the virus.
